Ajith Malaysia Connection

It was reported a few days ago that Ajith and team would fly down to Malaysia to shoot some important scenes and songs for their forthcoming flick Asal. The cast and crew comprising Ajith, Sameera Reddy, Bhavna, director Saran and others left for Malaysia on June 17.
Sources say that Ajith and team will camp in Malaysia for 2 months and complete a major portion of the film. Asal, which is being produced by Sivaji Productions, was to have commenced a couple of months but was delayed due to various reasons.
It's worth mentioning that major portions of Ajith's hit Billa were also shot extensively in Malaysia.

Bhavana confirmed in ASAL

The shoot of Sivaji Productions Ajit starrer Asal directed by Saran will start in Malaysia, from June 2.

The film will have two female leads Sameera Reddy and Bhavana, while music is by Bharadwaj.

Saran is ready with the final script of this gangster flick, which will have an array of top supporting cast- Pradeep Rawat (Ghajini villain) Rajeev (Newtonin Moondram Vidhi villain), Keli Dorji (Lara Dutta's boy friend), Karen Miao Sapru and Yugi Sethu

Tamil Star at polling booth

Superstar Rajinikanth with his with daughter Soundarya and wife Latha, actor Vijay, Ajith, Sarathkumar, Oscar Naayagan A. R. Rahman, Vijayakanth, Sneha and etc are casted there vote on Wednesday in Chennai.

Unfortuately Kamal Haasan name is not in the voter list as he came to polling booth after cancelling all his shooting schedule. He said "My name is not on the list of voters. My brother Chandra Hassan also could not cast his vote"

Asal Story Leaked Out

Ajith and his upcoming movie Asal by director Saran have always conjured our imagination. From the curious get up of Ajith to the meticulous shoot sequences, the movie has always sprung new surprises for the viewers. Well, the latest news doing the rounds is that the plot of the movie has been disclosed and contrary to curbing the expectations, it has rather fuelled more for a change.

The storyline goes that Ajith strikes back as a don, who cracks many international deals. However it so happens that all his close associates are murdered one after the other under suspicious circumstances. Then enters another Ajith to catch the murderer red-handed. The real twist in the tale lies in the fact that the audiences are left racking their brains as to whether he is a detective, a cop or the don who is back to avenge the murder.

Sameera Reddy would be playing the lead heroine role, though there would be a second heroine as well in the story. The million dollar question remains to be - would this be another Billa sequel in the making?

More Information About ASAL

Here are some interesting facts about the Ajith starrer Asal. The buzz from Kollywood is that veteran lyricist Vairamuthu will pen lyrics for the first time for Sivaji Productions. Also, the music director of Asal, Bharadwaj entered the film industry with Ajith’s Kadhal Mannan and went on to score music for Amarkalam, which was his 25th film. Interestingly, both the films were directed by Saran. With Asal, Bharadwaj hits his half century with the same winning combo.

Asal was Ajith's title

Director Saran spills the beans about his current project with Ultimate Star, Ajith. The film, produced by Sivaji Films, is slated to begin shoot from May 4.
 
"The story of ‘Asal’ has been a germ of an idea in me for over a few years now. When I told it to Ajith, he said he really liked it. And we hadn't decided on a title then. And Ajith immediately asked me, what is the word for The Original in Tamil? I said ‘Asal’, and immediately knew I got my movie's title," chuckles the director, who is yet to finalise two heroines for the film.
 
Speaking about the film's storyline, he says it is tad complicated. "One of the strong themes that the film rests on is going against anybody who cheats someone who believes them. In this film, Ajith will openly vent his anger out on such people. But the film is not just another revenge tale," he adds.
 
Plans are on to shoot the film in Tokyo and Turkey, and Saran admits that Ajith is special to him. "I've worked with many heroes, but I must admit that Ajith is special to me. He was completely sick, immobile, and admitted in a hospital a few years ago, and I went to meet him. I was shocked to see he could not even move his head, while the rest of his body remained numb to him. He saw me and said, 'Keep an action story ready for me. I'll be back in two months.' You won't believe that he was back in two months, and the film we did was 'Amarkalam'. Ajith is truly special and Asal."
